Hot Cinnamon Coffee
When plain black coffee just doesn’t cut it, enhance your java with a generous infusion of ground cinnamon. The aromatic spice is high in fiber, calcium, and iron. Plus, it adds so much flavor that it can be used as a replacement for sugar.
Ingredients:1 c. coffee2 tbsp. ground cinnamon2 tbsp. nonfat milk1 tsp. brown sugar, if desired
Directions:Brew coffee of your choice. Mix in cinnamon and milk. Adjust to your liking. Add brown sugar if desired. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
Makes one serving.
Cinnamon is great for digestion too! Yums :)

10 things to do this weekend

Raise your hand if you’ve ever said “There’s nothing to do. I’m so bored. This city sucks.” Well here are some quick and easy ideas for you to try out this weekend!

  1. Go out with no makeup on.
Give yourself and your skin a break. Everyone should be comfortable enough to leave their house without dolling themselves up. Plus it leaves you extra time to sleep in which is a great activity to do on the weekend!
If you are really worried about running into Mr./Ms. Beautiful go to deserted malls where only seniors roam.
  2. Clean out your closet.
Obviously not a first choice especially if you’re like me and hate cleaning but you’ll be able to see where your money has been disappearing off to. You can always donate your clothes or give them away to younger cousins like I did last week. Plus you’ll have more room for all your new crap stuff.
  3. Explore and find a new place to eat or sip coffee.
No, I’m not talking about visiting the new “it” spot in town, or spending hours on Urban Spoon looking for a new place to visit. I mean go out of your house and walk to the closest place that you’ve been meaning to check out but haven’t. Who knows? Maybe you’ll find a gem in the rough!
  4. Go to Ikea.
Who doesn’t love to wander around Ikea? They have food and drinks for ridiculously cheap prices. You can also look at furniture you probably won’t buy. Even if you don’t end up purchasing anything I’m sure you’ll have fun browsing.
  5. Check out a festival or event.
Usually your city will have a calendar where you can see what’s going on so check your city’s website.
  6. Feed the ducks.
Since Fall is starting you’ll have fewer weekends to feed these birds before they fly off to the south. It’s a great way to get rid of extra bread.
  7. Go on a hot date.
This only works if you’re not a single cat lady like me. Anyways if you’re already in a relationship take some time out to be like how you were when you first started dating.
  8. Try something new.
Obvious. Here are some examples: new nail design, new hairstyle, new fitness class, new route, new drink, new sport, new recipe, etc. It doesn’t have to be a crazy fad but as long as you’re doing something you normally wouldn’t.
  9. Road trip!
If you don’t want to spend lots of money do a day trip to a town outside of the city.
  10. Hang out with your friends.
While it may be hard to decide what to do, eventually someone will have an idea since there is a group of you.
bahaha!

So fancy!

So fancy!

That will be the day.

Soooo true! I love my morning coffees.

Soooo true! I love my morning coffees.

Went for fancy coffee with my sister yesterday (if you haven’t checked out her Tumblr here it is: http://pdubq.tumblr.com/). We saw a guy with a peacock design in his coffee and I wanted to take a photo of it but I figured it would be weird to just walk up with my phone.
